About

The start of our journey
At Croc and Flocks, we offer intimate, customized eco-tours through one of the world’s most awe-inspiring ecosystems. Everglades National Park, Spanning 2,351 square miles, this iconic park is a vast mosaic endless sawgrass prairies, lush hardwood hammocks, mangrove forests, and the shimmering saltwater flats. It’s a place of contrast and beauty — where rare birds glide silently over still waters and ancient reptiles sunbathe beneath cypress trees.
But despite its size, less than one percent of the Everglades is accessible by car or foot. Only a few roads and trails provide a limited view of what this remarkable wilderness has to offer. To truly experience its soul, you have to venture deep into its remote backwaters, and that’s where we come in.

Who We Are
Our Vision
Our guided adventures are conducted aboard small, shallow-draft skiffs, specially designed to navigate the maze of creeks, bays, and hidden mangrove channels. These boats allow us to access areas where few others can go — places where wildlife thrives undisturbed and where silence is broken only by the calls of herons, ospreys, and limpkins.
Our Mission
Meet the captain

Todd McClintock
40 yeaCaptain Todd McClintock is the heart behind Croc and Flocks — a seasoned naturalist, licensed mariner, and passionate guide with over 40 years of experience navigating the hidden waterways of Everglades National Park.
Originally from the Midwest, Todd’s lifelong connection to the water began the moment he laid eyes on the ocean as a young boy. That first glimpse sparked a deep fascination that would ultimately shape the course of his life. Drawn to the mysteries of the sea and the rhythm of coastal life, he moved to Miami to study Marine Biology at the prestigious University of Miami. There, his academic studies were only part of his education — the rest came from countless hours spent out on the water, exploring everything from the deep blue current of the Gulf Stream to the winding, brackish estuaries of Florida Bay.
Over the years, Captain Todd has developed a deep, working knowledge of South Florida’s coastal ecosystems, wildlife behaviors, and seasonal patterns. Licensed by the United States Coast Guard, he has safely and skillfully guided visitors through some of the most remote and pristine parts of the Everglades for more than 40 years.
But what truly sets Todd apart isn’t just his expertise — it’s his character. Friendly, personable, and deeply respectful of both nature and his guests, he brings a relaxed, engaging energy to every trip. Whether he’s pointing out a rare bird in the mangroves, sharing local history, or helping you photograph a passing dolphin, he does it all with patience, insight, and genuine enthusiasm.
For Captain Todd, every tour is more than just a boat ride — it’s a chance to share the beauty, mystery, and magic of a place he has spent a lifetime learning to understand and protect. When you travel with Croc and Flocks, you’re not just exploring the Everglades — you’re experiencing it through the eyes of someone who truly loves it.
