Boat Info

Exploring the backcountry of Everglades National Park requires more than just a sense of adventure — it demands the right vessel. The remote, shallow, and often winding waterways of this unique ecosystem aren’t suited for just any boat. That’s why Captain Todd McClintock relies on the Dolphin Super Skiff — a shallow-draft flats boat specifically designed to navigate these waters with precision, safety, and comfort.
Built for both performance and quiet access, the Dolphin Super Skiff is strong, fast, and incredibly dry — ideal for covering long distances across open water while remaining nimble enough to slip into narrow mangrove creeks, hidden estuaries, and secluded flats. This agility allows us to reach places where wildlife often gather undisturbed — from wading birds and crocodiles to dolphins and manatees — giving guests a front-row seat to nature at its best.
Whether you’re a birding enthusiast, a wildlife photographer, or simply here to soak in the sights and sounds of the Everglades, this boat enhances every moment on the water. It features flat, open decks for 360-degree visibility, making it easy to spot and photograph wildlife from any angle. The secure dry storage keeps your gear protected, while the shallow draft and manual push pole allow for stealthy, quiet maneuvering — especially important when approaching wildlife or gliding through sensitive habitats.
Safety is always a top priority. The boat is fully equipped with U.S. Coast Guard-approved safety equipment, and includes a satellite emergency beacon for added peace of mind. A brand-new engine was recently installed, ensuring reliable and efficient performance for every trip.
With the Dolphin Super Skiff, you’re not just getting a ride — you’re getting the ideal platform for an authentic, up-close experience of one of the most breathtaking and ecologically important places in North America.

Envirnment Info

The Everglades National Park is one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on the planet — a living, breathing wilderness teeming with life at every turn. With one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in the United States, it offers a rare opportunity to witness nature in its rawest, most authentic form.
Home to over 300 species of birds, including iconic favorites like the roseate spoonbill, great blue heron, wood stork, and osprey, the Everglades is a birdwatcher’s dream. But the spectacle doesn’t stop with feathers — this vast subtropical expanse also supports a wide range of charismatic creatures such as saltwater crocodiles, bottlenose dolphins, manatees, river otters, sea turtles, and a healthy population of sharks that roam the brackish bays and mangrove-lined creeks.
Each Croc and Flocks tour is crafted with care to bring you as close to this wild abundance as possible. Captain Todd uses his deep local knowledge, combined with real-time assessment of wind, tides, weather, and wildlife activity, to design a route that maximizes your chances of seeing as many animals as possible — all while respecting their space and minimizing environmental impact.
Most of the tour is comfortably spent aboard the Dolphin Super Skiff, allowing for easy mobility and excellent visibility. However, when conditions allow, Captain Todd may also guide you to remote beaches and hidden islands — places so secluded that your footprints might be the only ones in the sand. These short walks offer a peaceful change of pace and a deeper connection with the natural surroundings.
Whether you’re here for the birds, the marine life, the untamed landscapes, or simply the feeling of being far from it all, each trip into the backcountry is more than just sightseeing — it’s an unforgettable journey into the heart of one of Earth’s last great wild places.
